Bail Bondsman News - Broward County teacher arrested for having romantic relationship with student.
54-year-old Broward County school teacher engaged in a three-week romantic relationship with a 16-year-old female student last year, according to a police report.
According to the Broward County Sheriff's Office, the teacher, identified as Vincent Edward Grossi, is facing a charge of an authority figure soliciting and engaging in a romantic relationship with a student.
The victim came forward in April and told authorities Grossi and her had a romantic relationship in October of 2018, which involved at least five instances of kissing and Grossi grabbing her buttocks through her clothing.
The student was 16-years-old at the time and was attending Cypress Bay High School, according to the probable cause affidavit.
She and Grossi would often spend time in his classroom, where he shared personal details about his life with her, including stories about his two ex-wives and his two sons, the victim told authorities.
The victim added that Grossi also improved her grades and gave her special treatment that other students did not get, the affidavit states.
The relationship became physical when Grossi kissed her for the first time around Oct.3 in his classroom when no other students were present. They kissed at least five more times, according to the affidavit.
Each time, Grossi would cover the window so no one could see into it. He also placed his desk in a way that it wasn't visible from the window, the affidavit states.
Other female students also came forward during the investigation also reported inappropriate behavior by Grossi, authorities say.
When authorities questioned Grossi, he at first denied having any relationship with the student, the affidavit states. He later admitted to authorities that he might have "made a mistake" and did hang out alone with the girl in his classroom during lunch.
CBS Miami reports a judge ordered Grossi to have no contact with the victim. His bond was set at $5,000.
